Known as CC Inserts, this unique design helps pull the exhaust gases through the exhaust system. This can increase torque and horsepower, while decreasing sound volume. The insert is 7" long. Simply slide them into your header collector or anywhere in the exhaust pipe. You can easily install them to be removable. These baffles are so unique that they have a US Patent. They offer a great amount of versatility to dial the sound where you want it. They can be packed between each disk with a muffler packing or steel wool and each kit comes with an optional plug and restrictor cap for the center tube. Save weight (less than 1 pound), and valuable space under the car. Sold individually.
Sold individually.
Single exhaust order 1 Insert. Dual exhaust order 2 Inserts
Available sizes: 2", 2 1/4", 2 1/2", 3", 3.5", 4", 4.5". Check our store for listings in your size.
The size is based on the outside (OD) diameter of the pipe the Inserts are to fit into. Each application will be different. Some race applications have proven satisfactory with only a single disk insert. The use of CC Inserts allows the user to custom tailor the unit for his specific application. Car Chemistry, Inc. cannot guarantee that any specific application will meet the sound requirements of all municipalities or other governmental agencies. The wide variety of engine configurations and exhaust system designs preclude guaranteeing that all systems using CC Inserts will be street legal.

I have an '87 911 with SSIs & a Dansk GT3 center exit muffler. The drone from 1800-2500 RPM was painful. Two of the 3 Disk baffle inserts completely solved my problem. I cut 2" in length off the inlet of the insert and they fit perfectly. The drone was almost completely eliminated and the exhaust still barks. I did test a quieter assembly by filling the discs with high-temp ceramic insulation. It was too quiet with the insulation. Pretty nice little product that can be tuned to our liking and completely removable. I'll buy another set for my other 911.

I've used these before and had good luck with them. This last purchase was for a Polaris Slingshot with a custom exhaust that was too loud. The insert took care of that and sounds great.

I used these on my 1967 Plymouth that has Magnaflow mufflers. The inserts fit perfectly and allowed me to experiment with combinations of plugs, packing, etc. to get the desired exhaust note.

Baffled perfectly and the options on the caps to dial in the sound worked as well. Great customer service.

Nice fit inside my tailpipes-have not fitted properly yet-but confident they will help with my too loud exhaust

I installed one of these behind the resonator in the straight pipe and it has decreased drone significantly, as well as decreased vibrations in the cabin.
I've experienced no power loss, it actually feels like there is now more torque in the midrange from 2500 to 4000 rpm.
Since it's relatively cheap and easy to install + remove, I'd recommend it to anyone who wants a more quiet ride.

I placed one of the 2 1/2" inserts in the left pipe and one in the right pipe just ahead of my muffler (cheese grater style straight flow). I have a 3" auger insert behind the muffler and a 3" double wrapped cc insert where the tailpipe crosses over the rear axle. It sounds as close to "stock" now as I care to go. With a 2 degree advance and mainly the two 2 1/2" inserts, the power band has moved to the low rpms (1500-3500) instead of higher (3000 up). This works great because it is where I do most of my driving. I may remove the wrapping from the 3" insert to play around a little and add a home made resonator tip I've been assembling.

I purchased a set of these to help stop some of the drone in the copit of my car. I have a big block with 2 1/2 exhaust head to tail. II put these in my tail pipes after the mufflers and it helped with the drone problem a lot but is not 100% gone. It was just some place easy to try. I was told to put them before the mufflers and it should take care of it all together so that is my next step. Overall very nice well Built product and a awesome idea . I would Recimend to try a set if U R Experancing drone like I have .
