The chip may also work well with any of the custom straight pipes on the market without baffles installed and with a proper filter and air box.
Note: The chip has not been tested on a bike with factory pipes and slip-on type mufflers, the bike may run rich. Nor has the chip been tested with high compression pistons, although adjusted timing on the chip will help with detonation on higher compression engines and the fuel curve should not be to far off, if anything, slightly rich.
If major engine and head modifications have been made, the chip will work well with the Power Commander or Techlusion piggyback devices, taking advantage of the modified ignition timing for less detonation, better rate of acceleration, and better top end performance. If it is not desirable to run a piggyback device contact PMRT with the air/fuel vs. rpm curve from the dyno run, WITH the PMRT/CC Chip installed, to discuss custom tuning options.
The PMRT/CC chip has a 6000-rpm rev limit - most chips are set at 5500.
